Message from the new Executive Council

Greeting from the new Executive Council!

First, we’d like to salute everyone who participated in the election process. You’ve helped shape the future of the Student Chapter and HFES at San Jose State, and for that we extend our heartfelt thanks.

Second, we’d also like to congratulate the current Executive Council on an excellent job this past year. The chapter is strong and primed for another year of success. You’ve set a high standard with great events, leadership and support for the students. Thank you!

Our endeavors as students reflect on our program as a whole; the more we succeed as a student body, the greater the value of our education. It is our belief that a strong, organized student chapter is key to increasing SJSU’s status in the world of HF.

For the coming year, we plan to advance the state of the student chapter by building and expanding upon the work of the previous executive council. This includes continuing to book great speakers, holding social events to strengthen our community, and conducting outreach to make sure people know about our program and what it can offer. We also aim to increase the ability of students to organize and get directly involved in their education, via the website and various collaborative projects.

We are looking forward to serving the student chapter for the coming year, and we hope that you will join us in making the student chapter an even greater resource. If you have any ideas/suggestions/gripes, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
